ABOUT the author
Michelle LeFevre has dedicated her life to the learning and growth of children. Not only has she taught hundreds of children throughout her career, but with a degree in Early Childhood Development, she has opened, directed ,and developed the curriculum for pre-schools in California and Arizona. After 35 years of teaching, she and her husband Steve retired to Camano Island in Washington State. Here they live on a small pond teeming with wildlife, along side their beloved Bernese Mountain Dog Kona. It has always been Michelle's dream to write a children's book so she can swhare her love of reading with children everywhere. It is her hope that "On Kona's Pond can inspire imagination and creativity in all who read it.
ABOUT Sue McGough
The book is beautifully illistrated by her sister Sue McGouph who captured Michelle's photography and painted each page with beautiful watercolor.
Sue is a retired teacher who lives in Pasadena CA with her husband Terry and their dog Dezi. She graduated from University of Santa Barbara where she majored in art. Together they created this wonderful book.


ABOUT the puppets
We are excited to introduce our amazing finger puppets of the animals in the book, including Kona! Each puppet is individually hand-knitted by a group of talented women in Peru. Now, children can bring each animal to life by placing the puppet on their fingers.
